Bullying Prevention and Intervention in Schools: Implications of Participatory Action Research

This activity was motivated by the phenomenon of violence in schools, both students and teachers. Symptoms bullying behaviors such as verbal, physical, social, cyberbullying can be found junior senior high schools Purwokerto, Indonesia. Participatory Action Research aims to establish preventive intervention programs against student bullying. Before empowering teachers, it begins with mapping problem bullying, building relationships stakeholders, planning curative actions. Community change is accomplished through workshops on prevention treatments, formation anti-bullying agents, focus group discussions. The results this are shown increase knowledge students, construction actions form campaigns poster media, preparation standard operating procedures for programs.
